CAROLYN (Jill) DAVIS OBITUARY

 

Carolyn "Jill" Davis of Coloma died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, at home.

Services celebrating her life will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Coloma. Cremation will follow the service. Friends and relatives may begin calling at noon on Thursday until service time at the Davidson Chapel.

Jill was born on Oct. 25, 1948, in Benton Harbor to James and Betty Woodley.

She was employed by the Berrien County Department of Human Services as a case worker for 25 years before her retirement in 2004. Jill enjoyed being retired. She loved baking for her family, gardening around her home, watching TV, reading books, and taking her granddaughters out to lunch every chance she got. She was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies and enjoyed her association with the other members. Jill was a kind and generous individual who would help anyone she could.

Her family includes her daughter, Kimberly (Jack) McNew of Coloma and her son, Michael Davis of Hagar Shores; her brother, James V. (Patty) Woodley of Wasilla, Alaska; and her three granddaughters: Kaileigh and Gracianna McNew and Alexandria Davis. Jill is also survived by her beloved nephews: Tom and Todd Woodley and Chris and David Woodley. Jill also included in her family her dear friends: Carol Westbrook, Bev Jordan, Ellen Heinz and Mary Woodley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Jerry Woodley.
