Thank you all for the happy birthday wish. Very nice of you. Things are good for me. We escaped the last round of fires. ???? It’s our new norm and quite distressing. Thanks again!

So happy to see a photo of the group of gals meeting at Tosi's. Karen Walker sent them through to me. You haven't changed. I remember meeting you in elementary school and I was so envious of your fun loving nature and intelligence. Always such a big smile. Hope life has treated you well. I also hope to reconnect with the delightful ladies and hear about you and yours. My best to you.
Jim Perin attended Trinity K-8, SJJH, & SJHS. He had polio as a young child, but it didn't hold him down. He was very personable and creative, even broadcasting a current events news program over the PA in 8th grade. Jim played the piano and did some gigs on Mackinaw Island. He always had a positive attitude, a good sense of humor, and a strong faith in God. He was a founding member of Peace Lutheran Church, now on Lincoln Ave.in south St. Joe.
Jo Kristine McGath attended Trinity K-8, SJJH, & SJHS. She married Steve Smith & they raised two sons. She and Steve have both passed away since 2000+.
Kathy was a good friend from Kdg. @ Trinity & SJHS. She played basketball and even coached for a year. Her greatest talent was in music. She played the piano and she sang in The Chosen Few at LMCollege. She lived in Bridgman, Mi. and worked @ Skip's in south county until her passing in 1988. I am sure her tallents will be put to good use in Heaven!
Joanne Nimtz LaMarre attended Trinity K-8, SJ Jr. High, & SJHS...taught English at Lakeshore High school...waged a brave battle with cancer. Rest in peace.
The oversized, 60 something, yellow Cadillac convertable, top down, Linda at the wheel, Joanie and Karla at her side. Three vibrant young women motoring around town on any given "St Joseph" summer day. How could one resist stopping to behold that memorable scene. To be a witness to that image always made me smile. The memory makes me smile now.That is how I remember Linda. That is how I will always remember her.
Of coarse she was more than that, much more, to me, she was a friend. It saddens me to know I will never again have the oppertunity to talk with her. May you be in peace my friend.
Kay was genuinely the kindest person I have ever known. Her smile said it all. It reached you before she did. You could feel it before you saw it....authentic. I am privileged to call her my friend. I will miss her.
