Bill Latshaw and I were the best of friends in homeroom, on the swim team, and in later life. In the mid 1970s Bill and I bought a small sailboat and spent six months sailing in the Bahamas. Those were the days! Later as I traveled for my job, I always looked Bill up when I was in California. One of my favorite stories is that one summer while in high school Bill and I secretly sailed his father's 19-foot Lightning sail boat across the lake to Chicago to hear a band at the Cheetah Club. The best part, we made it back alive. We miss you Bill!
